Your Journey

Image
So, I am at the airport waiting for the boarding to begin and of course had a small while to write out some thoughts: The great thing about the future is that, just like when you don't know a person, it can be as much as your imagination allows it to be. Traveling opens up your mind because humans are made to have to rely on imagination when faced with something we have never faced before. That means that travel is always the difference between what you expect and what you live through. Even when traveling to a destination you have been to before, going back to a far away place is a great opportunity to realize  even more that what you are expecting can easily prove how much larger than you the world you live in is. I truly love the humbling experience a different country and culture gives you. It is all in understanding that you live in a small section of a dust particle of the universe we call earth. I do not just mean this scientifically, I mean this also in terms of wh

Everyone knows what my passions are and what I think about them. Even if you do not know me, right off the bat at least one of them will jump at you. I have noticed through meeting new people at university and work and just out in the wild that I have begun to notice a pattern: I am getting people more and more into Apple. my first Mac I have openly admitted that Google and XiaoMi have impressed me in their capabilities as Android phones that show the best out of the non-Apple environment, I do believe there are no close competitors to the iPad, and in terms of the Mac I do admit there are some truly amazing laptops and desktop computers that rival and even surpass in some aspects the Apple computer line up. Having said that, I always like to "throw down" with people who do not know or do not prefer Apple products in their life. The everyday discussion is iPhone against every other smartphone out there: this one is a little tiring because I have said it many time

The Suit

Image
One of the most common double edged swords out there today are suits. There are those who dress up to address an issue, for a job well done, for a bigger, greater goal than themselves which entails a greater form of presentation that communicates visually the plan to succeed at what he or she is doing. Then there's the other ones, we have all heard of those "men in suits" that hide behind the formality, lie under the tie, and are dressed to promote their status which is only achieved though selfish methods and egotistical objectives. In law, business, diplomacy, politics and others we all know of both cases: the suit becomes either a cape for heroes or a madman's straitjacket. It is one of the phenomenons that never ceases to impress me. Both the Nobel Peace Prize and the money launderer will have great fashion taste when they "dress up". Its almost a game of guessing, which suit has the good guy and which does not. I appreciate the practicality of &quo

"Life ain't all sunshine and rainbows, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently If You Let It (...)It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can Get Hit and keep moving forward." I really hope you know what movie that quote is from. this one is for a friend who is inspired by sunsets Today I remembered that awesome movie and thought back to when I told you guys how my mom made analyze the movies I went to see to apply them into my life or my way of thinking about things. We all have challenges, and even though they are all completely different, you would be surprised if they could tell you how well off you are compared to others around you. People have such strange understanding about facing obstacles and fear in life so I will give you the best one I have had. Obstacles will ALWAYS arise in your life, after all that's what life is all about, you cannot do anything about the obstacles you face but FACE them, what you

Your People

This past weekend was awesome! I will probably talk about it a bit more on this weeks upcoming podcast, but it was one of those “payoff” kind off days. I had an amazing volunteering activity for Project Daniel (where I have been volunteering since the beginning in 2010). I went on a great friendship get away to celebrate a birthday and finally I came home and back to reality to work and study the rest of Sunday. Why do I mention this? Besides the fact that I had a great time, I thought I would let you guys know about this one thought that came about due to this weekend, ergo the title… No man is an island, but every man is a ship. Every ship has a close navigation crew and a not-so-close shore family, one is there every step the way, the other is not. One knows the details, the other knows the bigger picture. What I mean is, the closer you get with people, the closer you allow them to come into your life the more you can realize what kind of people you have surrounded yourself w

The second biggest Q3 earnings EVER ! Apple had not lost its pacing and this is just another proof of it. 45 billion dollars tell us a lot, but tell me I was super right about 3 things: iPhone, iPad and Services. In addition to that, China and betting on new developers have a big role in getting Apple to a positive and great future. China promises to have a market that Apple seemingly can never fully conquer, which means the room to grow is huge, and if you know Apple, you know challenges are the best way for it to prove everyone wrong. In terms of developers, Apple has the best app store there is, PERIOD. People pay for their apps because of the culture Apple created and this is a win-win situation where customers get better and early apps for every single category, and on top of that, developers get paid and even have access to the most up to date software in at least 80% of the active devices in the world that Apple has (different to Android where less than 10% is running the lates

One of my biggest blessings is not being able to remember the first time I flew. I was about 3 and a half months old and the reason I know is because my mom told me so and showed me my first passport which has a baby picture. You see, the reason I count that as one of the biggest blessings is the fact that one of the best ways to get to know yourself is to discover the world. Culture, society and geography will open your mind to new parts of the world and new perspectives on yourself and the life that surrounds you. Every time I hear someone feeling bored or monotonous on life, when people want to give up or feel down, so many things become clear in your mind when you travel that I recommend it almost health-wise to friends and family. It gives you energy, it shows you how small you are in the best way possible. Looking outside the window of an airplane while crossing the Atlantic Ocean as the sun comes up is a memory I cherish up until this day. The first time I travelled alone

Ear-Candy: My Point of View

One of the best things my 12 inch MacBook and iPhone 7 have done to my life is shown me the great life of bluetooth earphones and headphones. Seriously, I felt so glad to leave my dumb comfort-zone of wired earphones to try out a good amount of wireless earphones and finally decide there are 3 TRULY GREAT options out in the market right now: BeatsX , AirPods and Jaybird Freedom . In no particular orden I will recommend any of these to any and all users out there: jaybird app Firstly the more "peculiar option": Jaybird Freedom. Surprised? me too! Seriously I wanted to start out with these because they came to my life out of the blue, I had heard a lot of good things about the previous Jaybird wireless model earphones. So one day I found myself trying them out at an Apple Store and the workout emphasis these have, great battery life, plus being sweat-proof, all added up to me buying them. I cannot believe what I am about to say but, if you are a runner or someone
