Jordan Peele went from one spectrum of entertainment to the other: from comedy to horror/thriller movies. He decided to surprise the world with an “instant classic” called “Get Out” that was universally loved and made the expectations for all other movies by him to have a crazy high bar of quality and thematic complexity. So, I went to watch his next movie called “Us” with that public criticism in mind and personally trying to see it from a neutral point of view. I loved this movie for a completely different reason than why I loved “Get Out”.
