O Captain! My Captain!

Image
We all have a story, when you were born your parents hoped with all their hearts that you would never endure hardships or suffer in any shape or form... Fortunately the world does not work like that. I believe its the hardships and mistakes in life that teach and mold you to become who you are and become so much more than your parents ever thought you would be. Think about the closest 3 people in your life, then think about the closest 5, maybe even if you are a very social person think about the closest 7. How much do you know about their life? Their accomplishments, their secrets, their mistakes... It does not matter if they are your children, wife, husband, best friend, cousin, etc. you live in a bubble about them. It is one of the most humbling experiences in life to GET TO KNOW someone's hardships. Some people have lives through poverty, hunger, pain, sickness... Some people are so poor all they have is money... Some people dream of having half of what you do. Some, hid

Side Effects of the iPhone X

Yeah, that's me going all kinds of crazy in happiness and hype when I FINALLY got the iPhone X! That day was awesome! And as the weeks go by and my hype goes down and my happiness keeps to rise I wanted to let you guys know how my Apple-Life has changed for better and worse thanks to this revolutionary device. I got the phone and set it up with NO WIRES NEEDED! I had never tried that amazing iOS capability of having my iPhone 7 filled with my life. I have mentioned this before, but my iPhone is my life's remote control. Just in case I back up everything in my life to have access through my iPhone, documents from work, important stuff for work, podcast and blog ideas, shopping lists, reminders, you name it, it is on my phone somewhere. So taking all that into account the fact that my iPhone 7 just asked me if I wanted to set up my new iPhone OVER THE AIR almost brought me to tears! (dramatic much? I don't think so) Yesterday I had my final exam of one of the univer

We Have No Clue...

I love technology. Anyone who knows me and/or has read my blog for long enough knows that. And because of what living in today's world entails, I believe this is the best time to be alive. Access to knowledge at the palm of your hands, opportunities like never before to reach people all over the world, to create content of all kinds and for all audiences almost at no cost at all... BUT I am here to tell you WE HAVE NO CLUE... Because we can see and investigate thousands of sources we think we know, because we can see, listen, read and have access to things we think we know "all I need to know about ____". People think they know what living in China is like because they read articles, see vlogs on youtube about someone's life in China. What writing for a newspaper is like because they have blog, or producing a radio show is like because they have a podcast... Or maybe... MAYBE they even have the great chance to know not from third-hand sources, but fro

The Midnight Poem

The world is nothing but a minimal piece in the universe... We feel life is long or short; tiring or maddening We think we're huge or small, slow or fast, pretty or ugly, rich or poor The glass can be half empty or half full... You can think it's nighttime somewhere in the world or that it's sunrise somewhere else The world is too full of hate for God to exist... Or the good deeds in the world can prove that life itself is a miracle worth admiring Many thoughts can go through your head throughout the day, but not today Today's different... Today the sun and the rain will both mean happiness The sun will brighten the day and the rain can only mean rainbows with pots full of hope... Today smiles will have a single meaning behind them... You Smiles that confess the truth behind every hug and congrats people give... But above all today you shall remember That every second is already passing by, that time flies and life flows, that true friends surpa

Use Your Head, Not Your Feet

A young woman, not older than 30 years of age, sat in the stadium in front of her father talking in a very passionate manner, gesturing, screaming, smiling, stressing out over the game she was watching. Her grandfather seemed at least 70 years old; he sat in front of her with his back towards the players on the soccer pitch. A white and red walking cane rested on the man's lap to show his age... No; his eyes, they did not look straight at his granddaughter, it was a blind man's cane. He was off by a couple of seconds in the game due to his grandchild's effort to keep up with the game by narrating, but the important moments he could easily infer from the ambient noise of the stadium. Goals, fouls, penalties and referee complaints he would eco what the stadium would tell him.  At half time he sat beside his granddaughter to comment on the game as she sipped on water to prepare her throat for the second half in a packed stadium. The second half brought a better game, and

400 Trillion To One!

Yeah, that's me I am back home! An amazing new years trip ended in the best plausible way: a long ride to have loads of thoughts come and go through my head as I get ready for the 2018 craziness that life has for me. So I wanna share with you guys the result of a little bit of leisure in my relentless mind: First The title of this entry is the probability of you being YOU ! Of you being born! People lose their perspective on things just like our eyes get used to the nose being something we look past every day. Some people say that every day you die a little, well I hope you realize that actually every day you live a little longer. Begin to fathom the size of the number that you have been dealt with... The minuscule possibility of being able to read this is a number nothing short of miraculous. " A miracle is an event so unlikely as to be almost impossible. By that definition, I’ve just proven that you are a miracle" Second This year is one of the mos
