Too Many?

Apple, running, soccer, movies, music. (more on these on later posts) Those are some of my most important passions in life. Apple came into my life in 2004 with the iPod Classic, from there I did not purchase a new one until the iPod Nano 1st gen and ever since then upgraded yearly my iPod until I got into the iPhone 5 and the rest is history. I fell in love with Jobs' crazy life and ideology very early into investigating who in the world made these viral products (iPods in their prime), and the Apple idea of technology and liberal arts together really resonantes with someone like me that loves both tech and music. Running became a passion thanks to my uncle (who is like a dad to me) that bet me that I could not finish a 10K run when I was 17. I took the challenge and in the process felt passionate towards the journey towards a race. a 10K normally takes less than an hour, but the training takes weeks and months. I am now training for marathon distance (42K or 26.2miles) a

No, YOU move (wonder woman week)

One of my most recent favorite quotes I have heard was from Gary Vaynerchuk who said something to the effect of "I love NO, because the difference between you saying no to me and you saying yes to me, is me proving you wrong". I could not agree more with the fact that even though we are used to, and we have even been raised into trying avoid "no", we should appreciate it for what it is: an opportunity to improve ourselves and in the process, prove people wrong. One of the easiest examples to comprehend my happiness about this is movies. I adore when people expect a movie to do poorly and it surprises the pants off everyone who spoke poorly about it or who just didn't expect it to be what it was. The top box office grossing movie of all time Avatar, the now sting standing superhero genre, the fall of DC movies and their rise now with Wonder Woman, the pleasant surprise of a contemporary coming of age movies and tv series like Edge of 17 and 13 reasons. So many

Change

The iPhone SE has outranked all other smartphones in customer satisfaction ! Barney Stinson said "new is always better". And although in the past I have said it to be to true, people have a hard time dealing with change. Technology has been the best example of how people prefer to stay in their so-called "comfort zone". Some people like me are happy about the fact that the headphone jack was no longer in the iPhone 7, I even have now adapted (pun intended) to having 1 port in my 12 inch MacBook. The iPhone SE, just like the movie Jurassic World, prove that people have a large factor of nostalgia when consuming whatever kind of product. It is true that a great deal of excitement will come about this upcoming June for the World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) that Apple will hold about their updates in software and maybe even hardware. But people truly enjoy what they are used to. The "familiarity" of a product will make them smile inside because th

I am Not the only one!

If you see my face in that picture (second from left to right), you will see the face of a human being that has no idea what he is going to do with his life. That's the theme of this entry. So, today (Friday May 26th 2017) I woke up at 5am NOT TO GO TO TRAIN... So when I wake up early and it's not for training or a race I get cranky. Whatever, I showered and came to university to get picked up at 6am and go to a universities fair and talk to students that want to know if they too want to study International Affairs.  Boy was it an unexpectedly PACKED event! High school students form all around the country decided to go and had SO MANY QUESTIONS... I am so glad that I don't Vlog because my voice is TIRED! I was SO unsure of my decision of studying international affairs when I started at UNA (National University of Costa Rica) that now looking back I am so amazed that I even made that choice feeling blind about it.  The fair stated that 11,000 students attende

Changes, big and small

Hey everyone!  If you're reading this there are two possibilities! Either you have read my previous entries or this is the first entry you read. If you have, then know that from now on the posts will be flooding the internet! There will be at least 2 or 3 a week! They will be about some news, either about me or about apple or about life. This blog OFFICIALLY is going to have 2 kinds of posts: 1. Short These will be as random as my head is (people who know me will tell you how much of a random human mind I have). They will be about my day, or news or sports or music or movies or family... We'll see what comes through. 2. Long These will be less often and will have the same format that the posts up to now have: with videos and links and train of thought and nice and orderly. Why the change? well i want to flood the internet, I want people to tweet at me ideas or questions or just to know more about me and my life and what i am doing (it also helps me make s

Misunderstandings...

These days all of my close friends and family who change from an android phone to an iPhone send me a selfie of them buying it. First because they know it makes me super happy for them, and second because I will gladly always help them out with set up and all the getting used to iOS part of happiness of a new iPhone. The thing is, eventually they get hit by many of the unnecessary haters, so I just want to clear the air of some BS that goes around in the "comparison" world of haters that try to put down apple products just because of the brand and with no real reason. Please keep in mind I am only reacting to the these phrases that my friends and family directly ask me about. Android is better than iOS in Every Single Way Oh no you didn't! This is one of the biggest reasons to be in the Apple ecosystem of products: the best software ecosystem. First it was about more apps made the App Store better than the Play Store, now its about the quality of the apps in the
