And so it is Christmas...

So I was writing and researching about one of my upcoming posts about the Apple TV (which by the way is going to be named "A revolution worth waiting for") and realised the year is about to end so i decided to put that on hold and let you guys know a bit of thoughts about this year in general, not just apple which I know we all know and love haha. So here go my thoughts just like on the first post about everything and anything hoping you find something to relate to on the tech part or on the more personal part:

First some more tech and science oriented news i would like to share with you guys about this year in summary:

THANK YOU to all the people who have read my blog which started this year and hopefully will go on for a long time, i hope i have been able to make you agree or disagree with my thoughts on one of my great passions: Apple

2015 innovation summary i hope you have heard of these innovations, if not take a quick look, they really are great breakthroughs

Steve Jobs said technology alone is not enough, it is beauty and the liberal arts that make it something else, something worth using and enjoying this article i thought could be useful for people who like their tech to not just do great stuff, but also look well

As for the less tech part of the year, this is the year thoughts on my behalf

2015

A couple years ago when i was in Japan i asked the foster family i was staying with if they were to say something about Costa Rica what would they say; the dad responded that he knew we have no army, the mother said she looked up that we spoke spanish and that we are a very green country, the oldest son said he heard we were the happiest country in the world according to someone... and then the little kid with the most amazingly well spoken broken english-japanese said he imagined Costa Rica was a place with a very nice christmas.

That is how i would like to summarise this year all in all:

I know that it was a very hard at times year, that we all go through hell and back at moments, we have cried or wanted to cry, some have had emotional problems, some health, some economic, some could have had a combo or problems... But sit there for a moment and realise that right now, right this moment you are still standing, you got up, you got through... you are almost though one more Christmas...

I looked up summaries of this year and found lots of negative ones, amazing science ones, incredible miracle stories, horrible war anecdotes... But really what did i look for this year... I decided to research life: both the good and the bad; the amazing and the boring. One thing i LOVE about running a half marathon or a 10kms race is that once you are done you actually realise that even when you went through the whole race one step at a time, there are specific moments that marked you more than others: that one part when i was going to give up and walk, the moment when i felt in full control of my strength and stamina as if 10 or 20 kilometres were nothing, etc. But its not all sunshine and flowers: i lost people i loved, i made mistakes; at least through it all i tried to give it my best.

I heard that Maya Angelou said you can tell a lot about a person by how they manage these 3 things:
1. A rainy day
2. Lost luggage
3. Tangles christmas lights
From someone else's eyes things can look completely different: this year I helped at a christmas party for youth with cancer and although they have my same age they are living a utterly disparate reality, and saw happiness in their eyes, saw them forget for an entire day they were ill. Don't get the wrong idea, some still had to vomit or sit down a while during the party due to their health, but they would get right back up again and dance and sing and party... I saw them give their all to enjoy christmas and pause whatever problems they had... A couple of them didn't make it though the next week and other than just feel sad you have to realise that even when all seems grey, colours do still exist around you. So smile, cause i saw them be happy and they saw me happy to be there and help them enjoy, dance, smile...

Finally... imagine for this christmas, imagine as that is the one thing you can do about the future, predictions and calculations can talk about possibilities but the one thing you CANNOT predict are miracles, impossibilities are something for the imagination to try and deja vu... for if you calculate the economy will be better next year, or predict Apple's iPhone next year will eliminate the headphone jack, you might be right or wrong and still not be amazed... BUT if you imagine you will get a new car next year, find that special person, win a scholarship, get your dream job, travel somewhere you always wanted to go and succeed in any or everyone of those you will be mesmerised... They say the difference between dream and a goal is that the dream does not have a date for which you yearn to accomplish that dream; so dream big, set a date and make a plan... Because just like on the first post of this year for my blog i will remind you with one of my favourite phrases that there are about 7 billion different worlds out there and you can change as many as you want because to affect one person at a time changes their world...

"THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CRAZY ENOUGH TO THINK THEY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD... ARE THE ONES WHO DO"

Merry Christmas and look forward to my next posts on the end of the year, the AppleTV and more :)
