The watch enigma part 2

13 million iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in just ONE WEEK-END! Whoever thought the iPhone-fever was going to be affected in any way shape or form could not be more off... Put in a more direct way by WatchAware the watch is a different chapter in Apple's ecosystem of technological interconnected high-end technologies.

Now having gotten that off my chest, I want you guys to know one thing and one thing for sure: I want to Eco a very important opinion about the watch: this is a first gen product. It has its flaws both in software and hardware. The software started off completely based on the iPhone, it has a large limitation of not taking an advantage of a store for third party or developer watch faces. The hardware has been proven to be thicker than it could be, and even that its processor could be much faster. Now, don't get me wrong, this still is the best smart watch in the market. What I do want to get across is the fact that some people buy the Apple Watch expecting it to deliver like an iPhone 6s Plus does, and as much as i would also like that to be a reality, it took years to get to an iPhone that would sell more in its first weekend than in the entire time of its existence (... yeah really think about that last sentence for a minute...).

I see a truly promising future for the Apple Watch, i will say this time and time again: did apple invent the phone, the computer, the smart watch, the mp3, the tablet??? No, it did not. but what it DID DO is take each and every one of those products and revolutionise whatever part of your life they touched: the multi-touch surface on iPhone and the App store changed phones forever, computer was made for everyone and had a whole new interfase with its vital hardware tool to explore a mouse, the smart watch finally is not just technology or fashion: it's both, the iPod made large amounts of songs available at the palm of your hand and with the iTunes store purchasing those songs was as easy as ever, finally the tablet was mocked by not being necessary (see: my entry on iPad) and now it is a mayor tool for enterprise and education.

Put in short, what i see in Apple Watch after two entries of analysis and 2 months of having the watch with me, is the fact that people who hate it are should know that they did not have to buy the watch if they were already expecting the worse and people who like it should know that it only gets better from here. The fact that the apple watch has not yet found its killer application to the digital era just means that it will do so, and when it does, people will remember the first gen and say "man that Costa Rican blogger was right, it still was a starting off product and it was great for having been an initial approach"... Or at least thats what i hope :)
