O Captain! My Captain!

We all have a story, when you were born your parents hoped with all their hearts that you would never endure hardships or suffer in any shape or form... Fortunately the world does not work like that. I believe its the hardships and mistakes in life that teach and mold you to become who you are and become so much more than your parents ever thought you would be.

Think about the closest 3 people in your life, then think about the closest 5, maybe even if you are a very social person think about the closest 7. How much do you know about their life? Their accomplishments, their secrets, their mistakes... It does not matter if they are your children, wife, husband, best friend, cousin, etc. you live in a bubble about them. It is one of the most humbling experiences in life to GET TO KNOW someone's hardships.

Some people have lives through poverty, hunger, pain, sickness...
Some people are so poor all they have is money...
Some people dream of having half of what you do. Some, hide their pain and struggles so well that they are only happy in their social media pictures/videos.

Today I invite you to burst the bubble. Gain some perspective about were you stand. Do not be careless, do not be rash; find the space to open your eyes to the REAL world around you. Some people think miracles are medical recoveries, winning the lottery, becoming rich when you were born poor... The truth is miracles are so much more than that, a single parent with 3 kids being able to provide for them AND take the time to meditate in silence. A widowed man finding love again in a hobby to take his mind off sadness and more into gratefulness. A orphan kid finding a loving home where to grow in.

You worry about your problems
But then again, don't we all? Have you EVER had someone else reach out to help you? To listen to you? Even when they did not have to.

Being humble has nothing to do with you
Being humble is about realizing the reality that YOU are HERE
That Life Exists, that you do some things to live
But you have to find things to LIVE FOR
That when it's all done...
Legacy makes dollars insignificant
